# How Souless works

Souless connects five layers without making the token depend on the app.

1. A creator chooses the token identity, narrative, launch economics, and optional Community Mode settings. When Community Mode is enabled, the creator can also choose the market's starting Creator/Community allocation and the Staking/InfoFi split inside Community rewards.
2. Launch Guard opens a short, ordered commitment window and settles participants together.
3. Souless deploys the fixed-supply token, creates its canonical Uniswap V3 pool, and permanently locks the official liquidity positions.
4. The market becomes permissionless. Users and compatible agents can trade through Souless or other interfaces that reach the pool.
5. Community Mode adds liquid staking, USDC reward epochs, contribution recognition, and bounded governance. The launch-selected Community policy starts with the first reward epoch; later governance changes apply to future epochs.

## What is on-chain?

Token supply, canonical market identity, LP custody, launch attribution, fee movements, launch-time Community policy, staking custody, governance actions, epoch roots, and claims are enforced or anchored on-chain.

## What is indexed?

Souless indexes finalized events into human-readable market pages, activity, balances, historical charts, narratives, reputation, and reward views. Indexed data improves discovery; contract state remains authoritative for ownership and settlement.

## What Souless does not control

Souless does not control external wallets, third-party interfaces, market demand, the USDC price, or how Uniswap calculates swaps. Once live, the ERC-20 can move freely and the canonical pool can be used without the Souless frontend.

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the following URL with the `ask` and `goal` query parameters:

```
GET https://docs.souless.fun/how-it-works.md?ask=<question>&goal=<user_goal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is what the user is ultimately trying to achieve, the reason they need the answer. Sharing it helps GitBook give you a better, more relevant answer. A goal is most helpful when it describes the outcome the user wants rather than restating the question. For example, with `ask=how do I create an API token`, a goal like `automate deployments from our CI pipeline` lets GitBook tailor the answer to that use case.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
